Black Stars forward, Andre Ayew, played for Le Havre on Wednesday, February 7, in a 3-1 loss to Racing Strasbourg in the Franch Cup.

The experienced captain of the Ghana national team was in the starting lineup for his side in the Round 16 match of the cup competition.

Playing away from home, Le Havre conceded the first goal to Racing Strasbourg, but Dilane Bakwa equalized in the 21st minute.

Andre Ayew then scored just nine minutes later to level the game and give his team hope of a comeback.

However, Le Havre was unable to complete the turnaround, as Racing Strasbourg scored again through Emanuel Emegha in the 36th minute and Marvin Senaya in the 90th minute to secure a 3-1 victory.

Following the result, Andre Ayew and his team have been eliminated from this season’s Coupe de France, with Racing Strasbourg progressing to the quarter-final stage.
