The Hearts of Oak have announced the arrival of their new head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, who was introduced to the club’s board members last week Friday, according to the club’s Public Relations Officer, Kwame Opare Addo.

Ouattara, who previously managed Asante Kotoko and served as the Technical Director of Morocco’s Wydad Club Athletic, brings a wealth of experience to the Phobians. Opare Addo revealed that the 53-year-old has signed a two and a half year deal with the club.

During a board meeting last Friday, Ouattara was presented to the board members and formally introduced to the club. Despite some negative comments, Opare Addo emphasized the need to recognize Ouattara’s accomplishments at Wydad Club Athletic.

With Ouattara at the helm, Hearts of Oak are preparing for the second round of the Ghana Premier League. This marks Ouattara’s return to Ghana football after nearly two decades since his previous stint with Asante Kotoko and King Faisal.

Ouattara is the third individual to lead the technical department of Hearts of Oak, following the footsteps of Dutchman Martinus Koopman and caretaker coach Abdul Bashiru, who managed the team at different times during the first round of the season. With Ouattara’s experience and expertise, the Phobians are optimistic about their prospects in the upcoming matches.
