Ghanaian footballer, Joseph Paintsil, has officially received his P1 visa, allowing him to make his debut for LA Galaxy this weekend.
The talented striker completed his move to the Major League Soccer team earlier this week, bringing an end to his time in Belgium where he represented KRC Genk.
“The LA Galaxy have announced the signing of Joseph Paintsil from K.R.C. Genk in the Belgian Pro League as a Designated Player, with the forward signing a four-year contract until the end of the 2027 MLS season.
Paintsil, who will take up an international roster slot, is set to join the Galaxy pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa,” the club revealed in a statement.
It was confirmed today by LA Galaxy that the Ghanaian international has successfully secured his P1 visa.
Therefore, Joseph Paintsil is now eligible to play in his new team’s match on Sunday against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami FC.
“Joseph Paintsil has obtained his P1 Visa and is in contention for selection this Sunday against Inter Miami CF,” LA Galaxy confirmed ahead of the weekend’s fixture.
