Borussia Dortmund II’s young talent, Prince Aning, has been handed a significant blow by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) following his red card incident during the recent clash against Preußen Münster.

As a consequence of his actions in the intense matchup on Tuesday evening, the Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster will face a three-game suspension.

During the sixth minute of stoppage time, Aning’s reckless challenge on Münster’s Niko Koulis led to his dismissal from the field by referee Lars Erbst in a dramatic turn of events.

Adding to their challenges, this marks Dortmund’s eighth red card this season. As a result of the ban, Aning, who has made three appearances this season, will be sidelined for crucial upcoming fixtures against Verl, Unterhaching, and Duisburg. Borussia Dortmund has accepted the verdict, acknowledging its legal binding nature.

The 19-year-old has made three appearances for Borussia Dortmund II in the German third tier this season.
