Brian Wilson’s business manager, LeeAnn Hard, and publicist and manager, Jean Sievers, filed a petition to become the conservators of the Beach Boys frontman.

This will allow them to oversee his personal and medical decisions, as reported by the Associated Press.

According to the court documents filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, a doctor’s declaration stated that Wilson has a “major neurocognitive disorder” and is being treated for dementia. Wilson has been unable to care for himself following the death of his wife Melinda Ledbetter.

The petition details that Wilson’s representatives, Hard and Sievers, have had a close relationship with Mr. and Mrs. Wilson for many years, and Mr. Wilson trusts them.

The filing states that “Wilson is unable to properly provide for his own personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter.”

In a joint statement, Hard and Sievers assured that they will ensure that all of Brian’s daily living needs are satisfied. “We appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of love and support for Brian.

While Brian is diagnosed with early stages of dementia and he mourns the loss of his beloved wife Melinda, he is physically healthy and leads a full life and is currently working on projects. As his co-conservators, we will ensure that all of Brian’s daily living needs are satisfied and he continues to lead an active life,” they said.

The Wilson family confirmed the decision to appoint Hard and Sievers as co-conservators on social media, stating that the move was made in consultation with Brian and his doctors.

They also assured that there will be no extreme changes to the household and Brian and the children living at home will be taken care of and remain in the home.

It’s worth noting that Wilson was previously under the close supervision of controversial psychologist Eugene Landy, who ultimately took control of the singer’s life and work. However, Wilson’s family ultimately intervened, and Landy was barred from any contact with Wilson.
