Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle expressed disappointment over missed opportunities as her team fell to a 1-0 defeat against Zambia’s Copper Queens.
The Ghanaian women’s national team clashed with Zambia in the first leg of the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games, with the match taking place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, the Black Queens were unable to find the back of the net.
Following the 1-0 loss, Coach Nora Hauptle commended her players for their performance but lamented the missed opportunities that could have led to a much different outcome.
She highlighted that Ghana could have secured a victory with a three-goal margin on another day, underscoring the team’s potential and the positive aspects of their play.
