Ever since Daniel Craig announced he was stepping down from the iconic role of James Bond, fans around the world have eagerly awaited news of who will be the next actor to portray the legendary spy. With several names being thrown into the mix, one name that has garnered a lot of attention is Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

In an exclusive report back in 2022, The Sun revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson was emerging as the top contender to become the next James Bond. Since then, his name has been consistently linked with the coveted role in the Bond franchise. Fast forward to March 2024, and reports surfaced that a contract had been drafted for Aaron to sign, with Bond bosses eagerly awaiting his response.

A source close to the situation revealed, “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table, and they are waiting to hear back. As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days, and they can start preparing for the big announcement.”

Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s rise to stardom began with his role in the John Lennon biopic, Nowhere Boy, where he not only showcased his acting skills but also found love as he met his future wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson. The actor has also starred in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, including the Kick-Ass series and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While Aaron Taylor-Johnson may be a strong contender, other actors have also been in the running for the role of James Bond. Names like Cillian Murphy, Henry Cavill, and James Norton have been mentioned, with different sources hinting at their potential involvement in the franchise.

However, it was clarified that producer Barbara Broccoli is adamant about the character of James Bond being portrayed by a male actor, ruling out the possibility of a female Bond in the near future. This decision aligns with her belief that new and strong female characters should be created instead of gender-swapping existing male roles.
