Sharon Stone claims her fame from the 1992 movie Basic Instinct was so wild that LAPD had to protect her during the infamous O.J. Simpson car chase.

She said, in an interview with InStyle magazine, that the police came to her house and told her she had 10 minutes to pack to leave.

They told the actress “He’s dangerous. And we don’t know how dangerous, and we don’t know what this is.” She even had to find a new, secure house behind a gate for safety and lost custody of her child.

Stone also revealed that being famous in Hollywood is an expensive endeavor. She expressed how she had to buy a new house and hire security, and even pay for large dinner tabs when dining out with a group.

Despite the challenges, decades later, the actress now has a better grasp on the expectations of fame in Hollywood and has learned to navigate it.
