Darling Records CEO Mimi Andani decided against pursuing a lawsuit against her former artiste Naana Blu, despite the singer breaching their 10-year contract.

This decision came after acquaintances pleaded on Naana Blu’s behalf, warning Andani that taking legal action against the singer would destroy her life. Andani stated that she could have pursued legal action and won the case, but she chose not to based on the advice she received.

In 2020, Naana Blu left Darling Records, claiming that the management had terminated her contract. However, Andani vehemently denies this claim, emphasizing that they had a long-term contract, and the label had not carelessly terminated it.

Andani recounted that she had established Darling Records with the intention of providing intensive training and mentorship to young artistes. Naana Blu was among the artistes she signed and trained, providing her with guidance on various aspects of the music industry.

Despite investing a significant amount of money in Naana Blu, recording songs, and shooting music videos, the singer left the label without notice and signed with another record label. Andani also revealed that she had advised Naana Blu to complete her education before fully pursuing a career in music.

Despite the disappointment she faced, Andani still believes in mentoring and supporting young talent in the industry. This experience has not deterred her from continuing to invest in and mentor other young artistes, showing her determination and resilience in the face of disappointment.
