Ghanaian-born UK-based gospel singer, Sonnie Badu, has hit back at critics of Ghanaian footballer, Dede Ayew, urging them to allow him to continue with the Black Stars.

In a recent social media post, Badu expressed his support for Ayew and called for an end to the criticism being directed towards him.

“It’s time to allow Dede Ayew to be! He’s not done with the Black Stars yet,” Badu wrote. “The constant criticism and negativity are not helping. Let’s support our own.”

Badu’s comments come in the wake of recent speculation about Ayew’s future with the national team, following Ghana’s disappointing performance in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 31-year-old captain came under fire for the team’s early exit from the tournament, with many questioning his leadership and ability to continue leading the Black Stars.

However, Badu is adamant that Ayew still has a lot to offer the team and should be allowed to continue representing Ghana on the international stage.

“Dede Ayew is a great talent and has proven himself time and time again. We should not forget his contributions to the national team over the years,” Badu added.

The gospel singer’s show of support has received mixed reactions from football fans and the public alike, with some agreeing with his sentiments while others maintain their skepticism towards Ayew.

Despite the differing opinions, it is evident that the debate surrounding Ayew’s future with the Black Stars is far from over.
