English musician Ozzy Osbourne took to social media to call out rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, for allegedly using a sample of his music without permission.

The incident occurred during West’s album listening party, where the sample was used despite being denied permission by Osbourne.

According to Osbourne, West’s request to sample a section of a 1983 live performance of “War Pig” from the US Festival was refused due to allegations of antisemitism against West causing “untold heartache to many.”

Osbourne expressed his refusal to be associated with Kanye West and his actions.

This incident follows West’s previous apology statement in Hebrew to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by his words or actions.

West has faced widespread industry criticism for making antisemitic statements on social media, in videos, and interviews, causing him to lose brand sponsorships and partnerships with companies including Gap, CAA, MRC, and Peloton.

Social media platforms Twitter and Instagram have locked West’s accounts, and calls for a boycott of the rapper have been made by industry leaders.

West has made a series of antisemitic comments in interviews and public appearances, including references to conspiracy theories and praise of Adolf Hitler. President Joe Biden also shared a statement denouncing Holocaust denialism following the rapper’s controversial comments.

As of now, West has not made a public comment regarding the accusations made by Ozzy Osbourne. Despite this, the use of unauthorized samples and the controversy surrounding West’s statements have raised widespread concern in the music industry.
