Billie Eilish will release a new album next month

Billie Eilish set to release new album in May

Billie Eilish, the popular singer known for hits like “Bad Guy,” has announced the release of her third studio album this spring. The album, titled “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” is set to be released on May 17, as revealed by Eilish on her Instagram page.

In a post that accompanied a photo of herself underwater, Eilish expressed her excitement about the upcoming album, which she worked on with her brother and frequent collaborator, Finneas O’Connell.

She mentioned that they are proud of the album and can’t wait for fans to hear it. Interestingly, Eilish revealed that she won’t be releasing any singles ahead of the album’s debut date, opting to give the entire album to her fans at once.

The announcement comes on the heels of Eilish and O’Connell’s Oscar win for their track “What Was I Made For” from the “Barbie” movie. This isn’t the first time the duo has been recognized for their musical talent, as they previously won an Oscar for the original song in 2022 with “No Time to Die.”

Eilish made history in 2020 when she swept the Grammy Awards, winning Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year for her debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” At just 18 years old, Eilish became the youngest solo performer to win album of the year, breaking Taylor Swift’s record.

Both her debut album and her second studio album, “Happier Than Ever,” were co-written and produced by O’Connell. With the upcoming release of “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” fans can expect more of Eilish’s unique sound and artistry to shine through in her music.
