Veteran Nigerian actor, Zack Orji, recently shared his harrowing experience of undergoing two brain surgeries after collapsing in his bathroom.
In an interview with Channels TV, Orji disclosed that he suffered from amnesia before the surgeries, revealing that he was in a coma for five and a half hours.
Orji expressed his gratitude for being alive today, attributing his survival to the grace of God. He recounted how his colleagues, Benedict Johnson and Labista, came to his rescue by carrying him from the second floor to the ground floor before rushing him to the National Hospital.
The actor underwent his first surgery on January 1st but had to undergo a second surgery a month later due to a residual blood clot discovered in scans.
Before the surgeries, Orji struggled to recognize people, with his wife having to inform him about visitors. However, immediately after the surgeries, he regained his memory and even greeted everyone a happy new year, a moment that signaled his recovery to his wife.
