Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY Makun, has recently taken to social media to address the ongoing rumours surrounding his marriage with his wife, Mabel.

AY Makun emphasized that his choice to remain silent is to protect his family, particularly his daughter, who has access to social media. He stated that he wants to shield her from any information that could potentially impact her mental well-being. The comedian highlighted that staying silent does not equate to weakness, but rather a logical understanding of the distinction between opinions, values, beliefs, and facts.
While acknowledging that he has made decisions he is not proud of, AY Makun asserted that he is not solely responsible for the issues in his marriage. He mentioned that no one is entirely blameless and cautioned against making assumptions. The comedian expressed his frustration with false information spreading faster than the truth but indicated his belief that his honest truth will ultimately prevail.
This is not the first time AY Makun and Mabel’s marital challenges have come to light. In previous instances, reports surfaced about Mabel moving out of their residence, and controversies arose within their relationship.
