Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu was forced to sit out Monaco’s clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 on Friday due to a hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old picked up the injury during a training session earlier that day, which led to his exclusion from the squad for the match.
Monaco, already dealing with several key absences, will have to make do without Salisu’s services against PSG.
Manager Adi Hütter has decided to go with an attacking lineup, featuring three playmakers and two attackers in his starting XI.
Salisu, who has made eight league appearances for Monaco since joining the team, also provided an assist in the previous weekend’s game.
The starting lineups for both teams were as follows:
AS Monaco Starting XI: Majecki – Singo, Maripan, Kehrer – Minamino, Fofana, Golovin, Ouattara – Akliouche – Balogun, Ben Yedder (captain). Substitutes: Köhn (gk), Platret, Valme, Magassa, Benama, Coulibaly, Diop, Ben Seghir, Michal.
Paris SG Starting XI: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Beraldo, Hernandez, Mukiele – Vitinha, Ugarte, Soler – Asensio, Mbappé (captain), Ramos. Substitutes: Navas (gk), Nuno Mendes, Gadou, Ruiz, Zaïre-Emery, Lee, Barcola, Kolo Muani, Dembelé.
