The esteemed Ghana Premier League club, Hearts of Oak, has officially dissolved its previous board after 12 years of service.
However, in a recent statement released on Wednesday, the club revealed that Togbe Afede XIV and Delali Anku-Adiamah, the Managing Director, have been nominated as the new board members by its majority shareholders, Strategic African Securities Limited and Strategic Initiatives Limited.
Togbe Afede XIV previously chaired the board that served from 2012 to 2014.
Delali Anku-Adiamah, who assumed the role of Managing Director on February 10, holds a PhD in Computational Systems Biology from the University of Manchester, and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, UK.
Prior to his current position, he held roles in the Finance Department at Manchester United, served as the Technology Consultant Manager at Accenture, and worked as VP at Markit.
The decision made on Tuesday marked the end of the tenure of board members Alhaji Alhassan Andani, Thomas Kwesi Esso, Professor Kofi Kumado, Ivy Heward Mills, Alhaji Moro Adamu, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe, and Frank Nelson Nwokolo.
Furthermore, Hearts of Oak is set to host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this year on March 27.
