The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has taken firm action against Real Tamale United FC, imposing a substantial fine and preventing the team from playing at their home ground after a series of misbehaviors during their recent Ghana Premier League match against Medeama SC.

RTU FC got into trouble for failing to ensure the safety of the Match Commissioner, which goes against section 16(1)(c) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.

Additionally, the club faced charges for the inappropriate behavior of their supporters, which goes against section 16(2)(c) of the same code.

The club admitted to the charges and asked for leniency, but the GFA Disciplinary Committee imposed a fine of GHS10,000 on RTU. In addition, the committee banned the team from hosting their next three home matches at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Real Tamale United was also warned that any further misconduct would result in severe sanctions.
