President Akufo-Addo forecasts audience of 2.2 billion for 13th African Games

President Akufo-Addo of Ghana is expecting an immense global audience of 2.2 billion viewers for the upcoming 13th African Games, scheduled to be held in Ghana from March 8 to March 23.

During the commissioning of the Borteyman Sports Complex, President Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in the widespread appeal of the Games, which will primarily take place at the Borteyman Sports Complex and the University of Ghana Stadium.

Furthermore, the versatile nature of the sports facility positions it to potentially host international games post the African Games. Additionally, the 13th edition of the African Games holds added significance as an official qualifier for the XXXIII Olympic Games Paris 2024, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming event.

Representing Ghana in football at the African Games will be the Black Satellites and Black Princesses. The Black Princesses are in Group A alongside Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia, while the Black Satellites are in Group A with Benin, Congo, and Gambia.

The African Games will come to a close on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
