Ghanaian actress Adu Safowah is currently breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest speaking marathon by an individual at the La Palm Royal Beach hotel in Accra.
Among the celebrities cheering her is former Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) winner, Akua GMB, whose presence at the event took many by surprise given previous rivalry with Adu Safowah.
For over 120 hours, Adu Safowah is expected to keep the conversation going, and with her in the booth is none other than her former rival, Akua GMB, who was seen with a placard that read “Keep Going Girl.”
This show of support may come as a surprise to many who are familiar with their rather public feuds in the past.
Their history as rivals stems from Akua GMB’s relationship with millionaire Dr. Kweku Oteng, and the jabs they took at each other went viral on social media.
Despite their past differences, Akua GMB’s presence at the speech-a-thon elicited reactions from fans, who praised her for moving past the rivalry and showing support for Adu Safowah.
Also stepping into the mix is controversial figure, Kumchacha, who has now joined forces with Akua GMB in her battle against another notorious public figure, Afia Schwarzenegger.
Akua GMB’s gesture at the speech-a-thon, along with Kumchacha’s support, has gained widespread attention on social media from fans, who are commending Akua GMB for her support of Adu Safowah.
