Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil made a memorable impact for LA Galaxy in their recent 3-1 victory over San Jose Earthquakes in the Major League Soccer.
The talented player, who joined the Los Angeles-based team from Genk in February, scored his first goal and provided an assist during the game on Saturday night.
After the match, the 26-year-old expressed his joy on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, about the team’s success.
Paintsil opened the scoring with a clinical finish in the 18th minute, following a precise pass from Mark Delgado, giving LA Galaxy an early lead.
Not stopping at just scoring, Paintsil continued to impress by setting up Dejan Joveljic for the team’s second goal just before halftime, increasing the lead to 2-0.
Throughout the game, Paintsil played a pivotal role in LA Galaxy’s attacking play, contributing to Riqui Puig’s goal which sealed the victory.
His outstanding performance was acknowledged by the fans, who gave him a standing ovation as he was substituted after 63 minutes to make way for Gabriel Pec.
