The chairman of the committee responsible for finding a new head coach for the Black Stars, Mark Addo, has revealed that the committee has received over 500 applications for the position.
Addo stated that the screening process has already commenced and the committee is aiming to complete the process by next week.
“This is my second time leading a committee to pick a coach, and I can assure Ghanaians that we will hire the best coach for the Black Stars based on the set criteria,” said Mark Addo in an interview with Akoma FM.
Furthermore, the Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, stating that it was not the best.
He emphasized that the GFA is not pleased with the outcome and is committed to ensuring that things improve in the future.
“Nobody wants positive outcomes more than we do, believe me; it just so happens that things don’t always go as planned for various reasons, but we must keep moving forward,” assured Mark Addo.
