There was unfortunate news for Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu as he suffered a hamstring injury during a training session with Monaco, adding to his woes from last season.

As a result, the 24-year-old was unable to feature in Monaco’s important French Ligue 1 clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Friday. His absence was noticeable as he was left out of the squad for the game.

This latest injury comes at a difficult time for Monaco, who are already dealing with a number of key players being sidelined. Adi Hütter’s team had to face PSG without the services of Mohammed Salisu.

The injury occurred during a training session on Friday morning, further keeping the Ghanaian defender out of action.

Despite this setback, Hütter decided to field an attacking lineup, with three playmakers and two strikers in the starting XI.

Since making his debut for Monaco just before the AFCON, Salisu has made eight appearances in the league. He provided an assist in the previous weekend’s game, showing his value to the team.
