President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the association as they work towards turning the fortunes of the Black Stars around.

Speaking to the media in Kumasi last week, the GFA President emphasized that the current administration cannot do the job alone and therefore called for the support of all stakeholders.

“We have great love for our Black Stars, Black Queens, and football in general. We are committed to seeing our football rise again and flourish. This is why we are urging all stakeholders, including the government, media, and clubs, to come together and support us on this journey,” Kurt Okraku urged.

“As public servants, we cannot accomplish this on our own. We need your support more than you can imagine. If we turn our backs on our players when things go wrong, we will struggle to find talent in the future. It is important for us to stand by our players in both good and bad times, and leave the important decisions to the technical team. With your support, we can build a strong football industry,” he added.

He stressed, “If you stand by the FA and support us, we can achieve this together. We understand that it will take time, but with your support, we can make it happen.”

The committee tasked with appointing a new head coach for the Black Stars is expected to finalize its work by the end of this week.

It is anticipated that by the end of the month, a new technical team will be in place for the Black Stars.
