Keta FC turning heads in Volta regional division two league in maiden season

A new team has made a significant impact in the Volta Regional Football Association Division Two League with the arrival of Keta Football Club.

The 2023-24 league campaign kicked off with the debut of Keta FC, and after just the first round of matches, the team has been receiving widespread praise for their impressive performance in their maiden season.

Competing in the Southern Zone B of the Volta Regional Football Association Division Two League, Keta FC has quickly made their mark. After a successful first round of matches, the team currently leads the zone with fifteen (15) points. In their debut season, they have played eight (8) league matches and sit at the top of the zone with an impressive points tally.

Throughout the campaign, Keta FC has showcased impressive form, suffering only one defeat. They have secured four victories and three draws, demonstrating their competitive spirit and potential in the league.

One of the most talked-about aspects of their performance has been their goalscoring prowess. Offensively, they have been very effective, scoring twelve (12) goals. Defensively, they have conceded seven (7) goals, leading to a positive goal difference of five (5) and keeping three clean sheets.

This remarkable performance not only highlights their potential but also emphasizes their determination to make an impact in their debut season, bringing pride to Anlodua and setting a high standard for future engagements in the league.

Despite being in their first season in the Division Two League, Keta FC has managed to top their zone, setting their sights on securing qualification to the promotional tournament.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, Mad. Valentine Enyonam Apetorgbor, expressed excitement over the remarkable performance displayed by Keta FC so far. She commended the coaches and players for their efforts in securing the top spot in their zone.

Mad. Valentine Enyonam Apetorgbor emphasized the need to avoid complacency and to maintain the momentum, as the ultimate goal is to qualify for the middle league. She also highlighted her contributions to the growth and development of talents in the Volta Region, with the establishment of Hogbe FC Juvenile teams and the scouting of about 150 young talented players representing Anlo FC and Keta FC at various levels of football.
