Southampton manager Russell Martin has called out Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana for his lack of productivity in front of goal.
Following Southampton’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in the fifth round of the FA Cup, Martin criticized Sulemana’s finishing abilities and expressed his disappointment in the team’s failure to advance to the quarter-finals.
While acknowledging Sulemana’s exceptional ball-handling skills, Martin emphasized the importance of converting opportunities into goals.
Commenting on Sulemana’s performance against Liverpool, Martin stated, “He has the potential to create more scoring chances, and he is aware of that. His talent is undeniable, and he showed glimpses of brilliance during the game.”
Despite his talent, Kamaldeen Sulemana has only recorded three assists in 18 games for Southampton in the English championship.
