Jordan Ayew, the forward for Crystal Palace, has credited his stunning goal against Everton to his pre-match shooting practice, emphasizing its impact on his performance during Monday’s Premier League clash.
Ayew showcased his goal-scoring ability as he found the back of the net during the game at Goodison Park, securing a 1-1 draw for the Eagles against the Toffees.
The Ghanaian international delivered a moment of brilliance in the 66th minute, unleashing a powerful strike from outside the box to put Crystal Palace in the lead.
Reflecting on his goal post-match, Ayew revealed that his success stemmed from replicating similar efforts during the warm-up session, which strengthened his confidence heading into the game.
“In the warm-up, I scored maybe five in a row, so I had a good feeling today! Sometimes things go your way, sometimes they don’t go your way, but you still need to keep pushing, and that’s what I’ve been doing throughout my whole career,” Ayew shared with the club’s official website.
