Accra Hearts of Oak, a Ghana Premier League side, has announced plans to reconstitute a new Board of Directors on March 27, 2024, during its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Following a review of the financial statement submitted by auditors, the club made the decision to dissolve its current board. The outgoing Board of Directors held several meetings in an effort to establish the right structures before the formation of the new board.

With auditors still finalizing and submitting their report, the club chose to wait for the final reports before officially announcing the dissolution of the current board. The submission of the report happened approximately two weeks ago, and it took two meetings to complete the review of the financial statements.

During Tuesday’s board meeting, the financial statement review was finalized, leading to the announcement of the end of the tenure of the Togbe Afede XIV-led board. The former Board Chairman requested outgoing members to suggest potential replacements for the new board of directors.

As a result of Tuesday’s decision, Alhaji Alhassan Andani, Thomas Kwesi Esso, Professor Kofi Kumado, Ivy Heward Mills, Alhaji Moro Adamu, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamakloe, and Frank Nelson Nwokolo have concluded their 12-year terms as board members.

Accra Hearts of Oak has named Togbui Afede XIV and Delali Anku-Adiamah, its Managing Director, as the new board members moving forward.
