Bernard Tekpetey, a talented Ghanaian forward, was a crucial part of Ludogorets’ victory in the Bulgarian Super Cup against CSKA Sofia this past Saturday.

Tekpetey’s impressive skills were on display for 69 minutes before he made way for Ryan Cruz, a Brazilian forward.

With this win, Tekpetey clinched his third Bulgarian Super Cup title.

The game was evenly matched, with both teams tied at 1-1 after regulation time, leading to a tense penalty shootout to determine the winner.

After Olivier Verdon successfully converted a penalty in the tenth minute, Ludogorets took an early lead, only for CSKA Sofia’s Nedeljko Piscevic to level the score in the second half.

The game started cautiously, with Ludogorets controlling possession but lacking in attacking strength. However, the match intensified as CSKA Sofia pushed for the shootout.

In the penalty shootout, both teams managed five kicks each, but Ludogorets emerged victorious with a 4-2 scoreline.

It was Swiss-Ghanaian Kwadwo Duah who scored the first spot kick for Ludogorets, and it was Verdon’s penalty that ultimately secured the Eagles’ seventh Super Cup title.
