Young Ghanaian talent, Jalal Abdulai, made an impact for Elfsborg in their recent victory over GAIS in the Swedish Cup.
The 19-year-old player came off the bench to score the second goal in a 2-0 win at the Borås Arena in the Swedish Cup Group B game.
Abdulai replaced Per Frick in the 67th minute when the game was still tied.
Earlier in the game, Abdulai’s compatriot, Michael Baidoo, had a penalty saved in the 10th minute.
The game looked set for a draw until Sebastian Holmen scored the opening goal in the 80th minute, with an assist from Jenas Jakob Thomasen.
As the game neared its conclusion, GAIS fought for an equalizer while Elfsborg defended carefully. In the final minutes, Baidoo set up Abdulai to score the crucial second goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
