Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, has been appointed to lead the part of the manifesto of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that focuses on Youth and Sports.
This appointment is a clear indication of the important role that Gyan will play in the campaign of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he seeks to become the next president of Ghana.
Gyan will join other distinguished individuals who have been named as Manifesto Sub-committee Chairs for various sectors such as Economy, Trade and Industry, and Energy and Petroleum.
In a post on his X page, Gyan expressed his belief in the need for legends in sports to come together and utilize their influence, network, and resources to attract investors into the country in order to positively impact the youth in the sports industry.
Gyan emphasized the importance of engaging the youth and nurturing them through sports, making it more enjoyable and appealing. He called for his colleagues to join him in the cause of reclaiming the glory days of Ghanaian football.
