The Black Princesses intensify training ahead of the 13th African Games

Coach Yussif Basigi led the Black Princesses in a rigorous training session in Cape Coast as they gear up for the 13th African Games.

Fourteen determined players honed their skills and tactics under Basigi’s guidance on Tuesday, showing their commitment to success in the upcoming matches.

As the players pushed themselves to their limits, the atmosphere was filled with determination and focus, highlighting their readiness for the challenges that await them.

While the initial training session showcased the dedication of a core group of players, anticipation is high for the arrival of the rest of the squad members, who are expected to join the camp by Thursday, February 29, 2024. The full team will undergo intense training sessions aimed at ensuring they perform at their best during the tournament.

With their first match against Ethiopia scheduled for March 9 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, the Black Princesses are eager to start their campaign on a strong note. Subsequent Group A matches against Tanzania and Uganda are also expected to be tough battles.

The 13th African Games, a continental multi-sport event held every four years, will take place at various venues including the Games village in Borteyman, the Accra Sports Stadium, the University of Ghana Stadium, and the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The tournament is set to run from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 23, 2024, promising exciting competition and thrilling performances from the Black Princesses.
