Ghanaian defender, Alidu Seidu, has commenced his professional career with Stade Rennais FC by participating in his first training session with the team.
Seidu recently completed his much-anticipated move to the French Ligue 1 side on Monday, January 29.
The 23-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or right-back, made the switch from fellow French top-flight side Clermont Foot in a deal worth a reported €11 million.
Just 24 hours after finalizing his transfer, Seidu joined his new teammates for training as they prepare for their upcoming match in the French Ligue 1 against Montpellier.
If all goes well, Seidu could potentially make his debut in the home game against Montpellier on Saturday, February 3.
Prior to his move, Seidu was part of the Ghana squad that competed in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast, where he made a brief 18-minute appearance for the Black Stars.
Unfortunately, Ghana was unable to progress past the group stage for the second consecutive tournament.
