The Black Queens of Ghana faced a disappointing loss on Friday when they were defeated 1-0 by the Copper Queens of Zambia in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The highly anticipated match took place at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana, kicking off at 5pm.

Despite setting up with an attacking lineup, the Black Queens were unable to find the back of the net and ultimately suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Zambia.

Zambia’s top forward, Racheal Kundananji, scored the only goal of the match in the first half, securing the victory for the Copper Queens.

With this setback, the pressure is now on the Black Queens as they prepare for the second leg of the third round tie to be played in Zambia.
