Wild jubilations as Duke Ofori-Atta defeats Arafat in Fanteakwa South NPP primaries

In the recent NPP primaries, Kofi Okyere Agyekum, popularly known as Arafat, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, has experienced a setback in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

Arafat garnered 95 votes, while Duke Ofori-Atta received 273, Abdul Razak 44, Louisa Boakye 16, and Joseph Nana Akomea.

The total number of votes cast was 429, with 1 ballot being rejected.

The Electoral Commission official declared Duke Ofori Atta as the winner of the Fanteakwa South constituency.
