Toby Keith’s family is arranging a private funeral service in the coming weeks to honor the beloved singer who died on Feb. 5 at age 62 following a battle with stomach cancer.
The country artist born Toby Keith Covel will be laid to rest surrounded by family and friends in attendance.
In a recent Instagram post, the Covel family announced plans for two memorial services to honor Toby’s enduring legacy.
The family has requested donations to the Toby Keith Foundation’s website in lieu of flowers.
Last week, the singer’s death was confirmed in an emotional post on his official social media account announcing his passing.
The country singer’s personal battle with cancer was revealed in 2021 when he detailed his experience with his diagnosis.
Keith praised his wife, Tricia Lucus, for her unwavering support during his treatment and expressed gratitude for her dedication as his caregiver.
Keith is survived by his wife and three children, Shelley, Krystal, and Stelen, and four grandchildren.
