Jeannette Charles, a well-known Queen Elizabeth II lookalike, has sadly passed away at the age of 96.
The actress, who featured in popular movies like The Naked Gun and Austin Powers, died surrounded by loved ones in a care home in Great Beddow, Essex.
Jeannette rose to fame in 1971 due to her striking resemblance to Queen Elizabeth II. Despite facing challenges in launching her acting career initially, Jeannette eventually found success in television and film until 2014.
Her daughter, Carol Christophi, paid tribute to her mother, describing her as a real character and a force of nature. She also mentioned that Jeannette was always respectful of the Queen and adored the Royal Family.
Over the years, Jeannette appeared in various roles in movies and TV shows, showcasing her talent as one of the best lookalikes in the industry. She even had a self-portrait commissioned, which led to her sudden rise to fame as spectators mistook the painting for a portrait of Her Majesty.
With her impeccable impersonations and dedication to perfecting the Queen’s voice, Jeannette landed major roles in well-known films such as The Naked Gun and Austin Powers In Goldmember.
