Renowned actor Eddie Driscoll has passed away at the age of 60 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Known for his roles in popular TV shows such as Desperate Housewives, The Last Ship, and CSI: Miami, Driscoll left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
Jimmy Palumbo, another talented actor, confirmed Driscoll’s passing, stating that he succumbed to a saddle pulmonary embolism following his battle with stomach cancer in Los Angeles on December 15.
Driscoll, a native of New York, made memorable guest appearances in popular TV shows like Sex and The City, Mad Men, and 24 throughout his career.
His most notable role was on TNT’s The Last Ship, where he portrayed the character Randall Croft across seven episodes in 2016.
Aside from TV, Driscoll also showcased his talent in various movies, including Cellular, Boat Trip, and Breaking In.
He honed his craft at the University of Miami and trained under the guidance of industry legend Burt Reynolds at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film.
Additionally, he shared the screen with Horatio Sanz in the comedy Boat Trip, alongside Cuba Gooding Jr, in a memorable appearance.
His contributions to TV extended to Desperate Housewives, where he portrayed a cab driver in the eighth season of the show in 2012.
Driscoll’s impressive resume also includes roles in Entourage, L.A. Noire, Days of Our Lives, and This Is Us, as well as a recurring role as Eddie Diamond, a loan shark, on Days of Our Lives.
