The Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government has made changes to its ministerial lineup, relieving 13 ministers and 10 deputy ministers from their positions in the government.
Some have been reassigned, while others have been shown the exit. This reshuffle follows numerous calls on the president to replace certain appointed officials who were not benefitting his government.
The Finance Minister, who led Ghana to the IMF, is among the biggest casualties in the latest reshuffle. Other affected ministers include the Road Minister, Information Minister, Works and Housing Minister, Tourism and Creative Arts Minister, Gender and Social Protection Minister, Health Minister, Interior Minister, Environment, Sanitation, Greater Accra Regional Minister, and Oti Regional Ministers.
The changes in the government have attracted significant attention and will undoubtedly have a substantial impact on the administration’s direction and policy implementation.
