A record-breaking attempt by Tema-based beat maker Forqzy Beatz was interrupted by heavy rains in the early hours of Friday, March 22.

Forqzy Beatz had embarked on a journey to break the Guinness World Record for the longest recording marathon (Rec-A-Thon) at the forecourt of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly.

Starting his record attempt on Thursday, March 21, Forqzy Beatz aimed to set a new record by recording continuously for five days. However, his plans were derailed when heavy rainfall soaked his studio during the early morning hours of Friday.

Despite having already completed 10 hours of continuous recording, the unexpected downpour forced Forqzy Beatz to temporarily halt his attempt.

The current record for the longest recording marathon with multiple artists stands at 40 hours, achieved by Blaqk stereo and Near Protocol of Nigeria with 30 artists between June 25, 2022, and June 27, 2022.

Forqzy Beatz’s dedication to breaking this record is evident, and although his initial attempt was interrupted by unforeseen circumstances, he remains determined to make his mark in the music industry.
