Renowned Gospel artist Celestine Donkor has shared her thoughts on not being included in the nominations for the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

During an interview on Hitz FM, Celestine Donkor revealed that her song, ‘Come and See’, which she submitted for consideration, was released in November, just weeks before the closing window for submissions.

As a result, it did not meet the criteria for nominations, as the TGMA board typically considers works released earlier in the year.

Despite not receiving any nominations, Celestine Donkor expressed her support for her fellow gospel artists. She specifically voiced her backing for Nacee, who is a nominee for the Artiste of the Year category, emphasizing that a win for any gospel artist is a victory for the entire genre.

She congratulated all the nominees and potential awardees, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to their craft.

Celestine Donkor also mentioned her willingness to perform at the awards ceremony if given the opportunity, showcasing her continued enthusiasm for the event.
