IGP makes an appearance at Kyekyeku’s 1957 movie premiere

Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, was recently spotted at the National Theatre for the second premiere of Ghanaian actor Kyekyeku’s debut film, “1957.” Dampare, dressed in a black Lacoste and jeans, arrived with a group on April 27, 2024, as captured in a TikTok video shared by Yaw Plug.

His attendance at the movie premiere received high praise on social media, with many commending his support for emerging talent. Netizens described him as humble and even suggested that he could be a good presidential candidate for Ghana due to his result-oriented approach.

The event was also attended by other celebrities such as Nana Ama Mcbrown, Aka Ebenezer, Eddie Nartey, Kwappiah, and Vanessa Nicole (Funny Face’s partner) who came out to show their support for Kyekyeku.

Directed by 925, “1957” features renowned actors like Aka Ebenezer and Kalsuome Sinare. The movie initially premiered on March 6, 2024, in Kumasi and has been well-received by audiences. It seems that Dampare’s appearance at the premiere only added to the excitement surrounding this promising film.
