President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, recently provided an update on the health status of veteran actor Zack Orji following a death hoax that circulated on social media.
Mr. Orji was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the National Hospital in Abuja on New Year’s Eve, where he underwent two brain surgeries after collapsing.
In an interview on Afia TV on YouTube, Mr. Rollas disclosed that Zack Orji has made significant improvements in his health and is currently in good condition.
He emphasized that the rumors of the actor’s passing were false and urged people to refrain from spreading fake news, as it caused distress to Mr. Orji’s family.
Preparations are now underway to send Zack Orji abroad for post-surgery evaluation, as confirmed by the AGN President. Despite the initial concerns about his health, it seems that Zack Orji is on the road to recovery.
In light of recent losses in the Nollywood industry, including the passing of veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor and John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), it is a relief to hear positive news about Zack Orji’s health.
The industry has experienced significant losses in recent months, and the well-being of its talented actors is of utmost importance.
