Yemi Alade teases upcoming album with new single ‘Tomorrow’

Global Afropop sensation Yemi Alade has just dropped a brand new single titled “Tomorrow”. This vibrant and upbeat track emphasizes the significance of the gift of tomorrow and the promise it holds for a brighter day ahead. It’s all about embracing the opportunity to accomplish what we couldn’t today.

The song encourages listeners to trust in divine guidance, even in the face of an uncertain future. Produced by Yasso, “Tomorrow” exudes positive energy and serves as the lead single from Yemi’s highly anticipated tenth project, scheduled for release in 2024.

“I crafted this album with the intention of paying homage to the music I grew up loving and the diverse sounds that resonate with me now. I drew inspiration from traditional African music like Highlife and various genres that ignite our passion as Africans,” Yemi shared.

The year 2024 kicked off on a high note for Yemi Alade, as she graced the stage at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Her forthcoming album is poised to further solidify her impressive discography and global success. Additionally, she is slated to headline a show at Zenith, Paris – La Villete, France on 21st September 2024 alongside her renowned African Train Band.

Known for her versatility, Yemi Alade is not just a singer/songwriter but also an actress and an all-round entertainer. She has garnered accolades over the years, including winning the Best Female awards at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) in 2015 and 2016, as well as the Best Music Video award for “Baddie” at the inaugural Trace Awards in 2023.

Yemi’s extensive discography boasts projects like ‘Mamapiano’ EP (2023), ‘African Baddie’ (2022), ‘Queendoncom’ (2021), ‘Empress’ (2020), ‘Woman of Steel’ (2019), ‘Black Magic & Deluxe Version’ (2017), ‘Mama Afrique EP’ (2017), ‘Mama Africa – The Diary of an African Woman’ (2016), and ‘King of Queens’ (2014).
