Taylor Swift has given fans a sneak peek at her upcoming concert film, which will be available for streaming on Disney+.
In a new trailer for her Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert, Swift hinted at four bonus acoustic tracks, including the song “Maroon” from her Midnights album.
The premiere of the concert film, originally scheduled for March 15, has been moved up to 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.
In a social media post, her Taylor Nation account shared, “Her name is Taylor, and she’ll be your host a few hours earlier than expected.” The trailer featured various performances by Swift, with the singer ending on a piano playing a snippet of “Maroon” and telling the audience, “This is one of my favorites.”
Last month, Disney+ announced that it would be the exclusive streaming platform for the concert film, which was a major box office hit in 2023 and remains the highest-grossing concert documentary movie of all time.
The film raked in $261.1 million worldwide, surpassing its $15 million budget with $180.8 million in the domestic box office and $80.9 million internationally.
“When it comes to electrifying concerts, The Eras Tour has been a true global phenomenon,” said Bob Iger, expressing Disney’s excitement to bring the concert film exclusively to Disney+.
Directed by Sam Wrench, The Eras Tour was a contender for the inaugural award for best cinematic and box office achievement at the Golden Globes. To qualify for the category, a film must have earned at least $150 million worldwide, with $100 million or more coming from North America. The award ultimately went to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
