Stranger Things star Matthew Modine has revealed that he will be the one to officiate the upcoming wedding of his co-star Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi.
Modine, known for his role as Dr Martin Brenner in the hit Netflix series, shared that he has already written the wedding vows for the young couple.
In an interview with Access Daily, Modine shared that both Brown and Bongiovi loved the vows he had written for them to exchange as they become husband and wife.
The 65-year-old actor, who has only officiated one wedding before, expressed his joy at being able to join two people in holy matrimony.
Brown and Bongiovi have been dating since 2021 and announced their engagement in 2023. The English actress took to social media to share the news, posting a picture with Bongiovi and expressing her love for him. The couple has not disclosed the date of their wedding ceremony.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show in February, Brown shared the unique underwater proposal she received from Bongiovi, who proposed to her while diving.
Despite a mishap where the ring fell off her finger underwater, Bongiovi managed to rescue it and properly propose with a ring that belonged to Brown’s mother.
Brown, 20, rose to fame as a child star on Stranger Things, with the upcoming fifth season set to be the show’s final installment. Bongiovi, 21, has also made a name for himself, recently landing his second major acting role in the coming-of-age film Rockbottom.
Modine, known for his roles in films like Full Metal Jacket and The Dark Knight Rises, is excited to officiate the wedding of the young couple.
