Apple Music recently announced that “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” has been crowned the greatest album of all time. This iconic debut album from Ms. Lauryn Hill topped the streaming platform’s list of the 100 best albums of all time. The Grammy-winning album of the year from 1998 surpassed classics from Beyoncé, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Prince, Nirvana, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Kendrick Lamar, and Frank Ocean.

To celebrate this milestone, Apple Music surprised Lauryn Hill with an intimate dinner where she was informed of her album’s new accolade. Hill expressed her gratitude by stating, “This is my award, but it’s a rich, deep narrative, and involves so many people, and so much sacrifice, and so much time, and so much collective love.”

Apple Music’s list of the top 10 albums of all time also included legendary records from Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Tupac, Lady Gaga, Adele, Usher, Bad Bunny, JAY-Z, Rihanna, Drake, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and many more. The streaming platform described the list as an editorial statement independent of streaming numbers, intended as a tribute to the albums that have influenced music lovers around the world.

At the induction gala and concert, Andra Day performed a rendition of Hill’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.”

Lauryn Hill also made a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show” with her son YG Marley, where they performed a medley of songs. The duo sang “Ex-Factor” from “The Miseducation,” as well as YG’s latest singles “Praise Jah in the Moonlight” and “Survival.”
