Kevin Campbell dead: Arsenal and Everton legend dies aged 54 after short illness as devastated club pays tribute

Legendary Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell has passed away at the age of 54 after a brief illness.

Campbell, who enjoyed a successful two-decade career on the pitch and later transitioned into punditry, is being fondly remembered by fans and colleagues.

Campbell’s time at Arsenal saw him score a total of 59 goals in all competitions across 213 appearances from 1988 to 1995.

During his tenure, he clinched titles such as the First Division, FA Cup, League Cup, and the European Cup Winners’ Cup.

Arsenal expressed their devastation over the loss, sharing in a statement, “We are devastated to learn that our former striker Kevin Campbell has died after a short illness. Kevin was adored by everyone at the club.”

Everton also mourned the loss, stating, “Everyone at Everton is deeply saddened by the death of our former striker Kevin Campbell at the age of just 54.”
