Hollywood legend James Earl Jones dies at 93

Hollywood has been struck with the sad news of legendary actor James Earl Jones passing away at the age of 93.

Jones, known for his iconic voice work as Darth Vader in Star Wars and Mufasa in The Lion King, died at his home surrounded by loved ones.

A longtime sufferer of diabetes, Jones’ cause of death was not revealed by his agent Barry McPherson.

Throughout his career, Jones appeared in various films such as Conan the Barbarian, Coming to America, The Hunt for Red October, and Patriot Games.

However, it was his portrayal of the villainous Darth Vader that truly cemented his legacy in Hollywood.

Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, Vader’s son in Star Wars, paid tribute to his on-screen father with a heartfelt message on Twitter.

Jones was one of the select few entertainers to achieve the prestigious EGOT status, winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award.
