Gisele Bündchen, the supermodel, took to her Instagram Story to honor her mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, one month after her passing.
She shared a heartfelt throwback photo of herself with her mother, expressing how much she misses her. Another snapshot depicted her mother smiling, with the caption “Te amo,” which translates to “I love you” in English.
Nonnenmacher, aged 75, passed away on January 28 while receiving treatment for cancer at Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Bündchen paid a touching tribute to her mother on Instagram, describing her as an angel on earth who always helped others and expressing gratitude for having learned from her.
In her memoir, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life,” Bündchen credited her mother for giving her the best childhood and praised her as a role model of love, strength, compassion, courage, and grace. Nonnenmacher, a mother of six girls, played a significant role in Bündchen’s early career by enrolling her and her sisters in modeling courses in 1993.
After caring for her ill parents following her divorce from Tom Brady in 2023, Bündchen shared that it was a challenging time for her family. She emphasized the importance of doing one’s best in the face of life’s unexpected challenges. Her father, Valdir, is still alive, and she continues to cherish the memories of her mother.
