Famous American rapper Ja Rule has taken a significant step towards improving education in Ghana by initiating the construction of a school project in the Eastern Region.
Collaborating with the renowned US-based charity Pencils of Promise, Ja Rule laid the foundation for a new classroom block at Nuaso Anglican Primary School on April 10, 2024.
Expressing his gratitude during the groundbreaking ceremony, Ja Rule emphasized the importance of education as a foundation for communities and the lasting impact this project will have on the region.
“I know that this is going to be an opportunity that will last for many, many years to come,” he stated, highlighting the promising future this initiative brings to enhance educational opportunities.
Accompanied by his wife Aisha Atkins, Ja Rule’s visit to Ghana also included tours of the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Accra, as well as engagement with community leaders in Krobo Odumase in the Eastern Region.
His actions align with other diaspora celebrities investing in Ghana, such as American comedian Michael Blackson inaugurating the “Michael Blackson Academy” in Central Region and British actor Idris Elba planning to establish a multimillion-dollar movie studio in the country.
